Waterproofing is complete. Waterproof testing will be taking place through Wednesday afternoon (11/18).
On Thursday and Friday insulation and steel will be installed.
The final pour of concrete will be on Saturday (11/21).
This will happen if rain does not interfere with the preparation.
Be careful entering and leaving the lab.

Automobile parking
Parking in the lab’s parking lot will be on a first-come first-served basis
During the deck rehabilitation project parking will be limited to the spaces outside of the laboratory’s main gate. Please park only in the marked parking stalls on the blacktop.
If no parking is available in the lab's lot, the closest parking lot is on the corner of 3
rd Avenue SE and 2
nd Street SE, two blocks up the hill. The lot charges $2 per day (
link to map).
If you are going to be at the lab late into the evening please move your car into the lab’s lower lot as spaces become available.
The parking lot at SAFL is a shared lot with Xcel Energy. Please park only in the parking spaces around the perimeter in the marked stalls. Parking is not allowed in the center of the parking lot. There needs to be space for large trucks to enter and leave the lot at all times.
Bike parking
The bike racks will be moved to the other side of the bridge.
Safety
- Wear closed-toe shoes when entering or leaving the building.
- Make eye contact with equipment operators.
- Stay in the marked pedestrian path
